Before being named executive director of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ (formerly NC Center for Creative Retirement) in May 2010, Catherine was director of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Duke University, where she also taught literature and writing courses. From 2001 through 2006, she served as executive director of the Preservation Society of Chapel Hill. Catherine holds an undergraduate degree (with highest honors), graduate degree and doctorate in English from UNC Chapel Hill and graduated from the NC School of the Arts, where she studied classical guitar.
