TheatreUNCA Presents: The Thanksgiving Play

The Thanksgiving Play, written by Larissa FastHorse, takes a satirical look at political correctness, social wokeness, and cultural assumptions. When a group of well-meaning white educators tries to create a culturally sensitive and historically accurate elementary school play about the first Thanksgiving, their best intentions lead to a series of comically misguided choices. Punctuated by real-life, historically offensive Thanksgiving songs sourced from educators and social media, the play exposes the tension between good intentions and cultural awareness.
This production is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc.
This show is for adult audiences only (17+).
Tickets: $15 for General Admission, $10 for Ģý Faculty/Staff, and $5 Ģý students
